Discussed at the DataAccWG telecon Oct 31'08.

Need to research how to handle database errors inside functions/procedures (eg. return status or raise exception)

Done, error handling in mysql stored procedures is pretty bad, they don't even support exceptions. It looks like we will need to survive with returning error status from functions (at least in DC3a).
